I worked with CTVO on commercial ad copy, and after one recording pass, Christian's instincts and feedback helped spin my original slate into a brilliant tight-time piece.

Questions People Usually Ask Me.
Can you direct?
Yes! I'm very familiar with direction. I have experience directing staged performances, animation, commercial, and narration. I bring over 20 years of experience as a performer and collaborator to the table.
Do you offer voice coaching?
I offer one-on-one voice coaching sessions for aspiring voice actors. We can work on technique, delivery, home studio setup, and building your demo reel. Reach out to me about what you need help with and we can tailor the coaching to your needs. If you are based in NYC, or can commute in, in-person coaching is possible on a case by case basis.
Do you authorize the use of your voice for AI training?
No, I do not authorize the use of my voice for AI training, voice synthesis, or any machine learning purposes without explicit written consent and appropriate compensation. All clients are asked to sign an AI rider if it is not already covered in the contract.
I live in NYC and need help setting up my voice studio. Do you do house calls?
Absolutely. I can provide guidance on equipment selection, acoustic treatment, and optimizing your recording space for professional-quality audio. While I cannot promise that your space is suited for the work, we can talk about what you will need to do in order to make it work, and I can offer my suggestions for how it will need to be set up.
Can you help me produce a VO demo?
Yes, I offer demo production services. We'll select copy together, direct your performance, and produce a polished demo that showcases your unique voice and range. If it is your first demo — I recommend adding a few coached sessions in as well.
Where would we record the VO demo?
Your home studio, with remote direction. The value is, I learn your setup, evaluate your audio, and we make something that you could make in your own home. Of course we can book studio time and record it there if you like, but it certainly adds to the cost. Your demo's quality is important, and you want it to sound professional, but if you can't promise the same results for your clients, it might be harder to keep them coming back. I cannot promise you that your home is the right space to record, but I can promise that I will use every bit of my expertise to help you make it so.
Do you have editing rates?
Yes — it does depend on the materials and how you need them edited, but my rate is calculated by finished hour (PFH). Determining the rate is based off of how dense the edit is, such as how many tracks, how long the reel is, what treatments we'll be applying and so on. Reach out and explain what you need done, and I can send you a quote.
What about sound design rates?
Clients often request a flat rate for sound design, and under those circumstances I can negotiate what I can deliver. I recommend PFH or an hourly rate on sound design because it is so incredibly subjective.
Can I give you sounds to design with?
I work only with music and sound that you or I have the correct license for. If I do not have proof of that, then I cannot use your library. This also means I need to know how you intend on distributing the work as well, as commercial licenses and broadcast licenses are not interchangeable. I am particularly skilled at making the most of creative commons libraries for a more "no muss, no fuss" approach to licensing.
I was thinking about having an AI transcribe my audio for me. Is that a good idea?
No matter the process in transcription, there is no way around good quality checking. I use professional programs (Avid Pro Tools) to transcribe my work, but I always check them. I do offer transcription rates that include that quality checking process.
